Reiki Bracknell
Reiki for Stress, Anxiety, Sleep, Pain & Emotional Overload
If you’re looking for Reiki for stress, anxiety, panic, poor sleep, trauma, pain relief, burnout, or nervous-system dysregulation, this is what I specialise in as a Reiki Master Practitioner & Teacher.
Clients come to me because they feel:
-
stressed or overwhelmed
-
anxious or “on edge”
-
unable to switch off
-
low in mood or burnt out
-
stuck in chronic tension or pain
-
struggling with sleep
-
emotionally overloaded
Reiki helps by activating the body’s rest-and-repair response. Studies show improvements in stress, anxiety, sleep, pain, nausea, emotional wellbeing, and quality of life (QOL) — especially as support during medical treatment or cancer care (complementary only).
My approach combines Reiki + somatic engagement, which helps the work reach deeper levels and improves overall effectiveness.

REIKI FAQ
1. What does Reiki help with?
Studies frequently demonstrate that Reiki is effective for reducing stress, anxiety, poor sleep, pain, emotional overload, burnout, trauma symptoms, and nervous-system dysregulation and improving overall quality of life (QOL). Many people say they feel calmer, lighter, clearer and more grounded after a session.
2. Can Reiki help with anxiety and stress?
Yes — studies show Reiki can reduce anxiety, stress hormones and nervous-system tension, helping the body shift into a calmer parasympathetic state and reducing hypervigilance.
3. Does Reiki improve sleep?
Many clients report deeper, easier sleep following a session. Research links Reiki with improved relaxation and reduced nervous-system arousal.
4. Is Reiki good for pain?
Reiki can help reduce pain intensity, muscle tension and the emotional stress that amplifies pain. It’s commonly used alongside medical care for chronic and acute pain.
Yes — Reiki is often used as gentle complementary support during chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Studies report improvements in stress, anxiety, pain, nausea and overall quality of life. (Reiki does not replace medical care for cancer but rather supports the body, the nervous system and improves overall wellbeing)
6. What happens in a Reiki session?
You lie fully clothed while I place my hands lightly on, or just above, specific points of the body. The nervous system slows down, the body shifts into rest-and-repair mode, and sensations may include warmth, tingling, release or deep relaxation. This is ideal for those who may have boundary issues, or prefer less invasive treatments or even distance treatments.
7. Is Reiki safe?
Reiki is gentle, non-invasive and safe for all ages, including sensitive clients, those with chronic health conditions, and people undergoing medical treatment.
8. How many Reiki sessions will I need?
Some people feel a shift after one session. Others benefit from 3–6 sessions to support stress, anxiety, sleep or longer-term patterns. It depends on your goals and what your nervous system needs. Some clients use Reiki as a regular reset button to maintain wellbeing.
9. How long is a Reiki session?
Most sessions last 45/60 minutes, with longer options available for deeper somatic integration work.
10. How does distance Reiki work?
There are many theories about how distance therapy works — spiritual, metaphysical, psychological (including the placebo effect), and even quantum-based explanations. What matters most is the outcome: in many cases, distance Reiki is reported to be just as effective as in-person sessions. This makes it ideal for people who live far away, struggle with mobility, are unwell, or are medically isolated and can’t attend in person.
